ALL India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced the schedule for First Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) for academic year (AY) 2014-15. The First CMAT for 2014-15 will be conducted over a period of 5 days starting 26 September 2013. The registration for First CMAT 2014-15 started from July 3. 2013.
Interestingly AICTE will now conduct CMAT in Foreign Countries to facilitate NRIs/PlOs and Foreign Nationals who wish to pursue MBA/PGDM in Indian Institutions. The test centers in five Foreign Countries include Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). Kabul (Afghanistan). Kathmandu (Nepal), Lagos (Nigeria), and Dubai (UAE).
Though AICTE introduced National Level CMAT from 2012. it made it mandatory for admission to all AICTE approved Management Institutions from academic year 2013-14. More than 2 Lakh Students appeared for CMAT held in September 2012. February and May 2013.
However, as per AICTE notification, there will be only two CMAT for academic year 2014-15. First in September 2013 followed by second in February 2014. The better of two scores will be used for admission for 2014-15. 

• Eligibility Criteria For CAMT 2014-2015 Admission:
GRADUATES in any discipline or Final year students of Graduate Courses can apply for CMAT. Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration Obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) al the qualifying Examination. The detailed merit list is provided to the respective state governments (in Maharashtra it is DTE i.e. Directorate of Technical Education) for allotting students through central counseling (CAP). 

• Registration process CAMT 2014-2015 Admission
CANDIDATES can register for the exam on AICTE-CMAT website – www.oicte-anat.in.
% Choice of preferences Candidates will have to choose three dates and three cities in order of preference. Allotment will be based on the first come first served basis. The actual allotment, however, will be subject to availability of slots in a particular city. 

• Negative marking in CAMT 2014-2015 Exam: There shall be negative marking for wrong answers, for each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted. Duration of exam will be 180 minutes. The overall difficulty level of the exam is easy to moderate.
