GOVERNMENT has made it compulsory for D.Ed, B.Ed degree holders who aspire to lake up leaching profession either in government or in private institutions to clear MAHA-TET (Teachers Eligibility Test). In Gondia the TET will be be conducted on December 15 for which aspiring candidates are queuing up in Zilla Parishad’s Education Department,
There was a huge rush of candidates wanting to submit their applications at the office on Wednesday as it reopened after three days of Diwali holidays.
Sources informed that till now 4,500 applications have been received and another 800 are expected till the last date.
It may be noted here that earlier for candidates aspiring lo become teachers in Government institulions they had 10 clear SET hui now all aspirants are required to clear TET compulsarily. TET will be held at stale-level and D Ed degree-holders have to solve question paper based on class 1 to 5 and similarly for B Ed degree holders there will be questions based on class 6 to 8.
It is worth mention that many degree holders had lost hope of getting a teacher’s job because of their low percentage in earlier examination but TET has once again raised their hopes. There are around 10,000 such unemployed degree-holders in the district wailing eagerly to get a job.
