With the recent notification from the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, there is an announcement for filling up almost 24000 posts for constables in the state. Details of the vacancies and the distribution thereof:
Total number of expected vacancies: 24000 posts
• Expected vacancies for Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC): 2000 posts
• Expected vacancies for State Fire Service: 2000 posts
• Expected vacancies for general Police Department: 20000 posts
Vital Criteria of Eligibility for applying to the posts:
Academic Requirements:
An applicant must have completed his Matriculation in the 10+2 system of education Or, Intermediate Studies (10+2 standard) or equivalent qualification in order to be considered for the job position. A pass in the above qualification will suffice for the consideration provided the academic qualifications are obtained prior to the 1st day of January of 2013
Age Specific Standards:
An applicant must not have over-crossed the max age limit of 22 years and must not be below 18 years of age as on 1st day of January 2013
Note: Standard Medical Fitness and Minimum Physical Norms need to be abided by the candidates in order to get selected for this recruitment
